The Tupolev Tu-214 is a twin-engined medium-range narrow-body jet airliner capable of carrying 210 passengers, designed by Tupolev and produced by Aviastar-SP and Kazan Aircraft Production Association. It was developed for Aeroflot as a replacement for the medium-range Tupolev Tu-154 trijet. The Tu-214 is part of the same generation of Russian aircraft as the Ilyushin Il-96. The Tu-214 features technologies such as fly-by-wire control systems, a glass cockpit, supercritical wings with winglets, and is available with Russian or foreign avionics.
