Indigenous to the forests of Central and South America, sloths are renowned for their leisurely lifestyle. Their diet primarily comprises leaves, and their remarkably slow metabolism allows for a protracted digestion period. Adapted for an arboreal existence, they navigate their habitat adeptly using specialized claws that facilitate gripping onto branches, spending much of their time hanging upside down in trees.
