The Schanz cervical collar is a medical device used to immobilize the cervical spine and provide support to the neck region following trauma or injury. It consists of rigid plastic or foam material encircling the neck area, often secured with Velcro straps. By limiting movement and stabilizing the neck, it helps prevent further damage and promotes healing.
