Orycteropus Afer Rigged is a three-dimensional model of aardvark (Orycteropus afer) which is a medium-sized, burrowing, nocturnal mammal native to Africa.
The Orycteropus afer, commonly known as the aardvark, is a nocturnal mammal native to Africa. With a unique appearance characterized by a long snout, rabbit-like ears, and a robust body covered in coarse hair, it's primarily found in savannas, grasslands, and woodlands. Aardvarks are expert diggers, using their powerful claws to excavate burrows where they spend the day resting. Their diet consists mainly of ants and termites, which they locate using their keen sense of smell. Despite their solitary nature, aardvarks play a crucial role in their ecosystem by controlling insect populations. It is the only living species of the order Tubulidentata, although other prehistoric species and genera of Tubulidentata are known. Unlike most other insectivores, it has a long snout, similar to that of a pig, which is used to sniff out food.
