Power for InSight Mars Lander is generated by two round solar panels (2.15 m in diameter each when unfurled), that are consisting of SolAero ZTJ triple-junction solar cells made of InGaP/InGaAs/Ge, and that are arranged on Orbital ATK UltraFlex arrays. After touchdown on the Martian surface, the Lander Solar Arrays are deployed by opening like a folding fan cleanroom accessory or umbrella.

InSight Mars Lander is managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The mission was launched on 5 May 2018 aboard an Atlas V-401 rocket and landed at Elysium Planitia on Mars on 26 November 2018.
