These sharks are typically around 6.6 feet (2 meters) in length and are known for their curious yet cautious behavior around divers. While generally not aggressive towards humans, they can display territorial behavior near their home reefs. Grey reef sharks play a crucial role in marine ecosystems by helping regulate prey populations and maintaining overall reef health.
